In celebration of the return of mainline airline service to Key West, join us for an approach and landing at this famously tiny airport at the southwest end of the Florida Keys. The runway here is only 4800x100ft, the shortest in North America that will get 737 service when both Airtran and Delta launch their respective routes from Orlando and Atlanta in December 2009.
KEYW scenery is from Tropicalsim. FS2004, wideFS, and Project Magenta networked over 6 PCs, with three projectors warped over a 24′ curved screen providing the visuals. Hardware components are from Flight Deck Solutions, CPFlight, Poldragonet, SISMO, and ACE. The seats are out of a real UPS 727-100QPF. Yes, I know the yokes aren’t linked and there are visible projector seams on the screen. The latter is on the “to do” list, along with about 50 other projects.
